A refined flat plate produced by Hirado Shozan Kama, a distinguished kiln in Nagasaki Prefecture boasting 400 years of Mikawachi ware history. Crafted from low-iron Amakusa porcelain stone, it features a smooth white porcelain base accented by a hand-painted "Kenjo Karako" (tribute Chinese children) motif drawn entirely in vivid cobalt blue (gosu). Once reserved exclusively as official gifts for the Shogunate and Imperial Court during the Edo period, this historic pattern depicts Chinese children playing under pine trees and rock peonies, bringing exceptional prestige and artistic heritage to your dining table.
